Join the Textile Repair Team from Heart Of CARTM's Repair Cafe to learn how to extend the life of your clothing with simple repairs. We’ll talk through and demonstrate several different ways to patch and repair a hole in any type of fabric using machine sewing, hand sewing, and darning methods to create a variety of repair styles from decorative to practically invisible.
Bring an item that you’d like to repair and we’ll work on it together, talking through approach and patch material selection. Time permitting, each student will leave with a newly repaired item of their own.
No sewing experience necessary. All tools and materials provided. There are several sewing machines available to borrow, but if you have your own machine please bring it!
