Designer Statement: In the Manzanita-made card game, Naked Court, there is a card with a beautiful illustration of a corncob corset…which inspired my look. It’s time to picnic!

Designer Statement: Thinking outside the dumpster creates new ways to use single use packaging materials. Expressing myself through art at community events makes life better!

Designer Statement: "The bingo cards are all paper and are completely recyclable. They are all collected after each game and recycled responsibly."

Creation: Steampunk Model: Peggy Schumann Designer: Margaret Tierney Materials: Hat from 2nd hand store..halloween mask cat face rusty washers old keys broken jewelry and pieces of rabbit fur added corset...wedding corset was white acid washed in vinegar and then dye black broken jewelry chains old keys and old rivets added straps came from old luggage...pants old jeans with old washers added neckless..broken jewelry old keys ring mouse came from sweater clip from the 50's on old ring base..pocket watch broken added old chains from jewelry compass glass jar paper compass glued on old leather belt wrapped old chain from broken jewelry all had a little swartzky crystals added to them Designer Statement: "Never throw out old jewelry ssoooo many uses. Always reuse what you have or check with a friend what they don't use anymore."

Creation: Ben Buoy Bottle Boy Model: Ben Rosenberg Designer: Ben Killen Rosenberg Materials: Bottle caps, buoys, roofing materials Designer Statement: "Bottle caps are the most common items that I find washed up on the shores of our beaches. Some caps are also intently left behind, along with 'poop bags' by folks who say 'I'll pick it up on my way back'. Sadly marine animals, birds, and fish see bottle caps as food, which get ingested and pose potential fatal results. With the onslaught of construction, countless materials get thrown out that can otherwise be used for building projects on a minimal budget."

Designer Statement: "What is trash to some is art supplies to others. With a different perspective and a little imagination everything deserves a second chance to be useful."

Creation: Mother of Pearl Model: Carol Parks Designer: Carol Parks Materials: Oyster and clam shells, used fishing nets, seaweed, cardboard, accessories from the 2022 Bay City Arts production of Narnia the Musical Designer Statement: "All oyster shells were collected from the waste piles at the Fish Peddler in Bay City."

Creation: A Black ball gown created in a 1950's style Model: Mary Moran Designer: Mary Moran Materials: This gown is fashioned from used black bubble wrap from Polaris Gallery and assorted torn trash bags. It has been enhanced with red produce bags saved from three years of grocery trips. The hat was created from more bubble wrap and assorted plastic bits. My Jewelry is made from various found objects. Designer Statement: "This gown was originally created several years ago but has been remade for this show. It shows that, once again, What goes around, comes around, and around, and around. Who knows where it will end up next."

Creation: McGlade of Landscape Past Model: Robyn McGlade Designer: Jon Helzer & Robyn McGlade Materials: "Distressed tarp Leaky Xtra Tuff boots & Raincoat Discarded landscape materials including weed barrier, tree tie, netting, plant tags Discarded computer & telephone cords Fine Gardening magazines Metal scraps Designer Statement: "This creation is nearly a hundred percent trash diverted from it's trip to the landfill. Most discarded items can be turned into high art. This is what can happen when you clean out the shed. "
