Creativity Cafe

Where discards become discoveries

Drop in. Make Something. Think Differently.

The Creativity Café is Heart of Cartm’s cozy corner for hands-on tinkering, quiet making, and joyful reimagining. It’s part makerspace, part art studio, part neighborhood living room — a place where rescued materials and useful tools are waiting for someone (that’s you) to turn them into something new.

Whether you’re here to work on a personal project, try out this month’s creative “portal” prompt, or just sip tea while surrounded by possibility, you’ll find the space, the stuff, and the spark to make it happen.

Thursdays 3pm to 6pm

Saturdays 12pm to 3pm
(Closed during Repair Cafe events, every second Saturday)

What’s Inside

  • Ever-changing stock of rescued and donated materials

  • Shared tools for both fine detail and big builds

  • Wi-Fi and plenty of table space

  • Hot tea (and good company)

  • This month’s Portal Prompt to spark your imagination

The Portal Prompt

Each month, we offer an optional jumping-off point for your creativity — a little nudge to help you see familiar materials in unfamiliar ways. Think “tiny worlds in jars,” “maps as self-portraits,” or “a protest sign for an imagined cause.” It’s part play, part cultural inquiry, and entirely up to you.
