2024 Trashion Show Information Page
Deadline to Register for participation in the Trashion Show is May 1st, 2024
Theme: Rising from the Trashes. We encourage you to interpret and incorporate the theme, but it isn’t a prerequisite
Open to all skill levels. This is not a competition. This event is open to any gender and age and is fully inclusive.
At least 50% of your outfit must be made from previously discarded non-clothing materials diverted from the waste stream. Items may be recyclable or not.
If cloth/clothing is used it should be transformed in some way such as a jacket to a vest or curtains into a dress.
Garments should be full ensembles ready for the runway.
You may also submit music that best represents your outfit to be played on the runway. If you do not submit music, our DJ will make an upbeat selection.
Kids under 12 years old need to walk with an adult.
Designers need to procure their own models. Models need to commit to arriving at 3:00 pm on May 18th to check in and prepare for Rehearsal in costume.
Designers are also required to arrange to take all components of garment ensemble with them after the show or donate to Heart of Cartm.
*Note on Accessibility: The White Clover Grange has a ramp that provides accessibility to restrooms and auditorium. The lower level area is only accessed by stairs, and will be set as a Green Room for models/designers to get ready. We will do our best to accommodate any models who cannot walk stairs. Please do make accessibility requests known when registering to design an outfit.
Each model receives free admission and one complimentary ticket. The model’s plus one will also receive an indoor token which ensures a place inside the Grange for watching the show. Please check in with Jessi when you arrive to collect your token!

3:00 - 4:00 Models get show-ready
Green Room set up in lower level with mirrors, food & non-alcoholic drinks
4:00 - 5:00 Dress Rehearsal for Models in Costume
Practice show lineup and model walk with Sound Check for DJ, Jessi, MC
Model portraits set up in rotation after each model practices walk
4:00 Doors to Art Gallery Space for Token Holders (Trashion Show Space closed off)
5:00 DJ Starts Playing Music (Romo)
5:15 Summon Audience/Housekeeping (MC)
5:30 Trashion Show Begins
7:00 Performance Piece and Mission Message (Jessi)
7:15 Thank you’s, what's next; encourage donations, purchase raffle tickets (MC)
7:20 Prep space for after-party
Outfits onto Mannequins
Clean up the GreenRoom and backstage
Put away chairs
